Where in Massachusetts can I buy pottery clay?
Where in Massachusetts can I buy pottery clay?
I am looking for a place close to home which sells a decent clay for pottery throwing. I am especially interested in Raku clays if you know of any local companies which carry this product.
I have tried craft stores in the area, but they supply mostly modeling clay. (Which can also be used for throwing, but does not work as well.)
The nearest location that I could find that carries the type of clay I am looking for is located over an hour away. I was hoping there was something closer.
well, it really depends where in MA you live, I am sure it takes more than 1 hour to drive from one end to the other...

Otherwise I'd look if there are pottery studios or stores for ceramics in your area consulting the yellow pages. Either should carry a range of different clays.
