My rabbit eats normal and has a gungey background?
I went to clean my 5 years old Netherlands dwarf rabbit when I realized she hadnt eaten your food or your address (usually love), she had left this morning.She was lying in a strange way that id never seen on the block box. I moved the nest and entered his room and slept with her ass in the air. He had a close look him there are no worms or flies that breed in it, but there was a strong odor. Gungey material was yellow under the tail. I realized that I was Unwell and called veterans, but they were closed by what seemed to call for help in counseling. They were told to wash your ass with water salt as we have done and it seems she is more comfortable but I am still very worried.I asked if anyone knows what this could be and what I can do to help. Hannah hello, things gungey yellow is what you get an abscess (dead white blood cells attacked this causing infection). abscesses are painful to the touch, which could explain their discomfort. When an abscess bursts the liquid. It is a normal process and it is a good thing because it gets rid of waste material. You can try to find where the yellow fluid is coming. If you can find an external wound, then you can press gently while you wash the salt water, to get all the pus. If the liquid comes from within the anus (ie, their intestines), so I do not know what else to do, do not try to squeeze just keep washing, and the vet you said. PS happy. Rabbits have very delicate digestive system balanced and I think that if something is wrong is potentially fatal. I do not want to worry unnecessarily, but they checked immediately by a veterinarian who has experience with rabbits. Hope your rabbit heals soon.
