Is there any other other way to fire up pottery instead of using a kiln?

There is no other way to fire pottery instead of using an oven?
I want to raise some ceramic But I no money by buying a furnace (at least I do not want to waste money on others). thank you. It's crazy, but cool links:) bit: thank you. I see you have much experience with these things. thank you.
You could try an old style fire career. basically a lot of wood under the clay with something around the clay to retain heat, is that the red light.
